Can I join as an individual?
Yes, that is how most of the players will be joining. However, If you want to join as a team that is cool too. However, you must speak with us first so that we can make arrangements for this to work. You can also join with a few friends and request that you be placed on the same team. Either way, you must email us at inquiries@brooklynvolleyball.com. Team fee is $1350.00, from 6-10 players.
How are the teams created?
On 4/16, at 8:00 pm, those who have registered online or who plan to register that night will come and play a series of pick up games. From there, the Bay Ridge Volleyball staff will evenly distribute players of different skill sets onto teams. Official League play will begin the following week..
How many people on a team? Is it coed?
6 people play at one time (though the league allows teams to play with as few as 4 to minimize forfeits). It’s a coed league, so when 6 are on the court, at least 2 must be women. (With four people on the court, at least one must be a woman.) We recommend that teams have 8-10 people on their roster, though exceptions can be made for a team of 6 or 12+. Please contact us with this request.
Is there an age limit?
Yes—you must be over 18 years of age by the night of registration to play in the league. In fact, no one younger than 18 years of age is permitted on the premises. HAVE YOUR ID each night. If security asks you for your ID and you do not have it with you, you may not be permitted on the premises!

How many times a week do we play? When and what times are the games?
Each team plays once a week. If the league has 6 teams, the schedule will be 730, 830 & 930pm
How many games will each team play per night?
You will play (3) 25-point games. During regular season play, you play ALL 3 games even if you lose the first 2. It only becomes best of 3 games for a match during the playoffs.
